When I got home from work today I saw a caged budgie outside on one of my neighbour's patio deck. What the heck?!! Its still WINTER!!! I drove by slowly to look at the bird and it was all puffed up...=( Seriously...what makes them think its ok to leave a bird out in the cold when obviously its a warm climate bird??!! That's like putting a clownfish in ice water. >__>

My late lunch...consists of futomaki, takoyaki, and unagi onigiri. Haven't had takoyaki in a lonnng time!

Bought this new cherry blossom hand cream from bath and body works. I love the smell~!! Cherry blossoms are one of my fav flowers along with orchids, and light pink gerberas. I saw a bunch of light pink gerberas few days ago at the save ons floral section. I really wanted to buy them...but there wasn't anybody at the counter to wrap them up. I didn't feel like carrying them while they're dripping in water. =( 

I just registered for my floral arrangement course...level 2! I'm really excited! Can't wait!! ~

I really like Clover knitting needles. I wish I bought them instead of the aluminum and plastic ones in the beginning since I don't use them anymore. Anyways, I went to Michaels today to pick up a set of Clover knitting needles coz I had a 40% off  coupon...XD. I'm trying to get one of every size they make. Its gonna take a long time to collect...especially when Michaels only have a couple of knitting needles left in stock. Hope they restock soon!

I had such a great day today! This morning I made a special trip to the COACH store in downtown...coz they have the new poppy sequins groovy bag in purple out on the sales floor today...that's why I made a special trip there to get it on the first day its out before they're sold out. Its really pretty just like the pic on the website. I'm so happy I got it!~

This is my first time going to downtown alone and taking the Canada Line...so it was interesting...XD I rarely go to downtown so I took this opportunity to shop around and try the Japadog that I've been wanting to try. Japadog is a very popular Japanese hot dog stand here in downtown. People line up to buy them even when its cold like today. The picture above is the 'Oroshi' hot dog from Japadog that I had. It contains: bradwurst (pork), grated raddish, green onions, and their special soy sauce. It was soooo good!!! I really wanted to try the 'Terimayo' too but I was full...next time when I go to downtown I'm gonna try that! After lunch I shopped a few more stores and then headed back. The trip didn't last very long but I was really happy! Even though it was cold but the weather was really great and sunny! I'm totally broke after this shopping trip...won't be shopping for awhile!

I woke up early today to do some maintenance work on my orchids....watering and some trimming. The orchid above is my mom's. I got it for her for mother's day in 2008.  This is the first re-bloom since we had it...and I'm just really happy it did. Although there is only 1 spike instead of 2 (there was 2 when I got it) and less flower buds but its alright! After the maintenance work I took my birdie Memo out to play for a bit. She was sitting on my palm the whole time she was out...rubbing her face and beak on my fingers. I felt her stomach and bum on my palm and that made my palm sweaty...she was warm! I gave her massage by rubbing my finger on her cheeks and that made her sleepy...lol. She yawns every time I do that. =D

Later in the afternoon I went out to do some errands. Went to the grocery store to buy frozen corn niblets to make birdie bread for Memo; went to Beard Papa's to buy some cream puffs for my bf...which I totally forgot to do for the past 2 weeks o_O...; and lastly to Michaels to return the knitting needles I bought few days ago. The size was too big...and it was rather heavy too! It was Clover's 16" long premium wood needles in size 19. I couldn't find size 17 in 16" long...so I got size 17 in 10" long instead. I think it should be long enough. I also bought 2 skeins of yarn in eggplant purple. It was 2 for $6~ Hopefully I'll have time to get to that before summer comes...o_O

Now I'm working my butt off on orders. I haven't re-listed sold items on my Etsy shop in a lonnng time! Once I finish with my current orders, I will update.

I've been pretty obsessed with yarns lately...been going to Michaels and different websites to look at yarns and stuff. This is because I've been really into knitting for the past few weeks. Right now I'm looking at fingering yarns (haven't decided on the color) to do an lace pattern scarf. I really like lace patterns....looks very complicated and beautiful. There is this lace pattern from a book I bought recently that I tried...and surprisingly I got it right the first time! It turned out very nice but I stopped knitting it coz it'll look nicer if the yarn was lighter weight. I'm gonna take it apart and redo it with a different pattern. The 3 skeins of purple yarn above are the same ones I used to knit my mom's scarf for Christmas a few years ago.  They are discontinued now but I managed to find them on Ebay. I really like this yarn! I'm gonna make a scarf for myself with them. =D
