First egg (December 10, 2010): I didn't expect Memo to lay the first egg so fast considering how long it took her last time. She laid the egg at the bottom of the cage without a nesting box. The egg went through the bottom cage bars and broke on the newspaper. =(
Second egg (December 12, 2010): First egg in the nesting box
I can't believe its been 2 months since my last entry! o_O...time passed by so fast!!
Recently I started having interests in Japanese tea related stuff, which includes tea ceremony, teapots, and different green tea. I also recently discovered an awesome Japanese shopping site: Rakuten. Its so awesome!!~ I bought 2 pink matcha bowls from there. I received the first one few weeks ago and I love it! The packaging was really beautiful and unbelievably neatly put together. I never felt so happy opening a parcel. Seriously!! The second matcha bowl is on its way. Should be here in the next few days. Can't wait!!!
This is the first matcha bowl I bought from Rakuten. I love the white glaze~
This matcha bowl here is my first one ever. Bought it earlier last month at an local Japanese table shop: Utsuwa No Yakata.
The pink on this one is really pale...but its ok...still pink!~
Since there's so many Japanese teapots, cups, and matcha bowls out there, I narrowed down to only collecting pink ones. This will also limit my collection since there's not that many pink ones to collect.
Memo showed symptoms of carrying an egg about 3 weeks ago...swollen bum and huge poop...so I gave her a nesting box last Wednesday. She laid the first one on Sunday (Sept 5th) afternoon around 2pm, the second one Tuesday morning, and the third one. Wonder if she'll lay more eggs...
Edit: Memo laid 2 more eggs afterward. Forth one on Sept 13th, and the last one on Sept 15th.
Went to get oil change with mom the week before and we went to a nearby mall to wait. We passed by a gaming place full of capsule toy machines...and there was one full of instant noodle phone straps. My favorite flavor is seafood. I can seriously eat it everyday and won't get sick from it! Anyways, I got the seafood flavor one from first try! Lucky! Its really cute! The back part is clear so you can see the noodles and the seasoning pack inside. XD
My poor orchid has been suffering from insect attacks. The flower pedals and stems have chewed marks and spots left by the insects. After doing some research online, I came to a conclusion that it might be weevil beetles that's been eating my orchid. They are said to be hard to catch and destructive to plants. They come out at night from hiding to feed on the plants.
Edit: It really was a weevil beetle!!!! I just went to check on my orchid and there was a weevil on one of the flowers! It scared me (I don't know why...I guess I get scared easily) so I kinda screamed a bit....>__> and I had to ask for help to get that bug off my plant. My sister helped me captured this beetle. I think its a vine weevil. (not sure) I really wondered where the heck was it hiding from...I looked all over the place for this bug! Hopefully there won't be anymore...but I'm still worried coz from the look of the damage, it could be more than one of these weevils that's been eating my orchid. =(
About 8-9 years ago I started collecting Takara Jenny dolls. I was so obsessed with them that I bought a lot...to the point that I currently have close to 100 of them. XD Well this obsession stopped in 2005 when I was introduced to Blythe. My first Blythe was I love you its true...bought it on May 30, 2005. I currently have 17 Blythe dolls.
Today I looked through my boxes of Jenny dolls that I stored away (coz of no room to put them out)...and it made me sad. I was sad coz I haven't touched them in such a long time! They are really pretty and special dolls. I can't believe I abandoned something that I was once so obsessed with. Quite a few of them are limited/ special editions that I spent a lot of money on. I don't regret it though...they are really special.
Here is a pic I just took...She's one of Jenny's many friends. Her name is Marine. Out of all of Jenny's friends, Marine is my favorite along with Excelina...actually I like them both more than Jenny....lol...so that makes them my favorites. XD
One of my many Marine dolls. They all have different hair color and hairstyles. This one here is wearing a yukata. She's so pretty and cute~
I spent the whole last friday sanding the paint off of my dolly scalp and sewing on and combing the mohair weft on it. I'm satisfied how it turned out but I still prefer the reroot look...even though the weft was very quick to do. Now that the hair is done, I'm gonna sand the face and redo the makeup...but before that, I'm gonna finish off my other rerooting projects that I started first.

The 'Grandpa Otts' morning glory seeds I planted few months ago finally bloomed the first set of flowers few days ago. Each of these flowers only last for a day...so I've been getting flowers from different spots of the vines each day. My other morning glory seeds 'Heavenly Blue' that I also planted at the same time next to Grandpa Otts haven't flowered yet...but when it does, its gonna be very pretty.
I did a bit of shopping today for my mom's birthday gift...finally found something! Bought her a Burberry 'Brit Sheer' perfume. Hope she'll like it. It smells really nice~ For myself, I bought a Anna Sui lipstick. I've been using MAC lipsticks and they make my lips more dry than it already is...so I've been searching for a replacement brand...and I'm quite satisfied with this Anna Sui lipstick.~ Another Anna Sui product in my bag! I just love their packaging! *__*
